benchwork research

During my undergraduate studies, I worked in Dr. Lisa Flanagan's lab at UC Irvine School of Medicine. My work focused on optimizing a device that could be used to distinguish the differences between neuro stem cells.

While obtaining my Master's, I conducted my research thesis project in Dr. Rachita Sumbria's lab at the Keck Graduate Institute. My thesis contributed to elucidating the role of erythrophagocytosis in brain microbleeds.

clinical research

Read about the various clinical research projects that I've been involved in throughout medical school

Uterus Transplantation

I am working with the uterus transplantation team at Baylor University Medical Center to understand better the obstacles that the medical community believes need to be addressed before uterus transplantation can be implemented in clinical practice.

Chronic Kidney Disease

I am working with a team of physicians at the University of Cincinnati to better understand how patients with chronic kidney disease or kidney transplants patients are counseled on contraception.

Obstetric Emergencies

In this project, we created a workshop to help train first responders in various obstetric emergencies they may face in the field and use surveys to asses their comfort with obstetric emergencies before and after the workshop.
